Babywearing Consultancy and Workshops

We have now trained as babywearing consultants and can offer one to one consultations. We also run babywearing workshops.

Consultations

If you feel you need one on one support, more than we can offer at one of the library sessions, we can come to your home and talk you through the different options and find a sling to suit you and your baby. We charge £45 for a 1.5 hour consultation, we can do a shorter consultation if required, please talk to us about this. Please message us on facebook or e-mail hello@storkandthebees.com to discuss your needs and arrange a consultation.

Workshops

We’ll be running a range of workshops. They last for 2.5 hours and cost £25 per couple or £15 for one person. Check our facebook page for our upcoming workshops. If you would like to arrange your own workshop with a group of friends (e.g. your antenatal group) please get in touch. There will be a discount for this.

Antenatal and Newborn Babywearing Workshop

If you’re expecting or have a baby up to 3 months old, come along and learn about different types of slings you can use with your newborn. You’ll be able to try them out with dolls. We will also cover bump wrapping which can help with things like pelvic girdle pain. Additionally, there will be a short talk/demo about cloth nappies at the end of the workshop.

Testimonials:

“Thank you so much for providing this wonderful course. I only wish I had attended something like this before having my first baby. It has now given me much more confidence in carrying my newborn baby safely and comfortably in the right kind of carrier for me. I also liked the cloth nappy demonstration, I hadn’t realised how easy and better for the environment it was.”

“I thought the ladies where lovely I left feeling confident on what wrap was the right one for me and my baby and confident on how to put on and use safely.”

I thoroughly enjoyed the Stork and The Bees babywearing workshop I attended in January and thought it was excellent value too. There are so many types of slings it is really overwhelming to know where to begin. New slings generally aren’t cheap and if you buy one that isn’t right for you you can be stuck with it. It was so helpful to try out the different options with the guidance of the experts, there were slings there I didn’t think I’d like that I found really comfortable and ones I thought I’d like that didn’t suit me – it’s great to have the option to rent them too to see how you get on with them ‘in real life’.
I was already sold on the idea of babywearing and cloth nappies before I went to the workshop but if I hadn’t been, the knowledge and passion of Caroline, Cristina and Helena would’ve sealed the deal for me!”
